Rigidity in Removable Partial Denture

Horseshoe-shaped Removable Partial Denture Framework
A Horseshoe-shaped Removable Partial Denture Cast Metal Framework is not recommended for maxillary RPD as it provides a much lower rigidity. Removable Partial Dentures are subjected to highly complex stress fields during normal masticatory movements. Failure of RPD castings during service depends on the dimension and design of the castings. Therefore, major maxillary connector should be designed as rigid as possible.
